Beautiful hand painted 18th Century Tole Ware Tea Caddy
Hand painted with idyllic rural scenes on a Japanned ochre ground-
Main panel- A hunter in typical mid 18th century clothes, with his gun dog
Side panels decorated with pretty cottages and trees
Decorative gilded garland design on border of lid
Originally the hinged catch would have been locked with a small padlock
The lid interior has it's original silvered lining
 
Condition: In extremely good condition considering it's age, no restoration
