Lovely example of a richly hand decorated sponge ware plate, possibly the 'Virginia' pattern
Painted in strong colours- plum, deep blue and mint green and sponge printed in deep blue
Probably manufactured by the Fife Pottery of Robert Heron in Kirkcaldy in Scotland
Retailed by Norman Franks in Chepstow Place, Bayswater, LONDON W.
 
In good condition, no chips or cracks but a few slight underglaze stains
