Lovely early 19th Century pale blue stoneware jug with a pewter lid.

Probably by Ridgway of Hanley, Staffordshire.

Octagonal shaped body with an intricate rambling rose handle- images 3,5 & 6

Roses, rosebuds and leaves enamelled in purple, pale pink and green with underglaze dark blue enamel.

Some fine gilding on the blue leaves

All in immaculate, unused condition

 

Dimensions: Height 16cm, Maximum width with handle 15cm, Maximum diameter 11cm
