Unusual framed Berlin Work stitch chart depicting a Sunflower and foliage
The Chart- originally hand-coloured in the factory C1850 and numbered 5395 at the top right hand corner
The colour in each square indicates every stitch, embroidered onto canvas in wool or silk and the colours to be used indicated below the chart
Manufactured by 'Grunthals Vertrag' in Berlin
There are two impressed marks below the chart- one indicating the reigning sovereign Frederick William IV Konig von Prussia 1795-1861
Condition: Good, some wear to the frame at the sides
